World of Work
Week
Connecting young people with the world of work - and helping businesses build the workforce of the future.

The challenge
Despite the importance and mutual benefits of early career exposure, only around 52% of UK businesses currently offer work experience programmes.
- and provision is often weakest in the communities where it is needed most.
That’s why we created World of Work Week - a highly effective work experience programme for secondary school students aged 14 to 16.
Young people who have three or more meaningful encounters with employers are 86% less likely to end up NEET.
Our programmes can provide up to ten.

A better model for work experience
Traditional work experience can be difficult to deliver.
It is often:
-
TIME AND RESOURCE INTENSIVE FOR EMPLOYERS
-
OBSERVATION-BASED RATHER THAN PARTICIPATORY
-
HARD TO MEASURE OR REPEAT YEAR-TO-YEAR
-
DIFFICULT TO ENGAGE THE YOUNG PEOPLE WHO WOULD BENEFIT MOST
At Tomorrow’s Enterprise Foundation, we transform work experience into structured, high-impact engagement that works for both young people and businesses.
Our programmes are designed to be:
-
EASY FOR EMPLOYERS TO IMPLEMENT
-
HIGHLY SCALABLE AND REPEATABLE
-
MEASURABLE AND IMPACT-DRIVEN
-
MORE ENGAGING THAN TRADITIONAL PLACEMENTS
What it looks like
World of Work Week provides immersive group-based work experiences for up to 60 young people.
The young people are predominantly those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), from low-income families, or from underrepresented communities.
We work directly with local schools, enabling businesses to create
meaningful social impact in the communities on their doorstep.

Experiences tailored to each business
Our programme designers create bespoke experiences that reflect our host businesses.
We work with our corporate partners to develop real-world challenges related their businesses or industry. Our team then creates a series of half-day workshops that support the students to develop their own ideas - culminating in a presentation of their ideas on the final day.
Volunteers from our corporate hosts lead these workshops, supported at all times by our own expert facilitators.
End to end management
We manage the entire process from end-to-end.
From programme design and school partnerships to delivery and evaluation - allowing businesses to focus their time where it creates the most impact.
Each corporate partner receives detailed impact reporting, including:
-
MEASURABLE OUTCOMES AND DATA
-
STUDENT AND TEACHER TESTIMONIALS
-
PHOTOGRAPHY AND CASE STUDIES
-
SOCIAL VALUE REPORTING FOR INTERNAL
-
AND EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS
