Putting essential skills into action to create deep-rooted learning
Over the course of eight highly-engaging workshops students learn, practice and master a portfolio of essential skills, including teamwork, leadership, communication, resilience and problem solving.

These skills are introduced during the first half of the programme and then put into action when the teams are tasked with designing and developing an enterprising idea that enhances their local community.

On the final day of the programme, the teams present their enterprise ideas to a room of their peers, teachers and members of the local community. The teams are supported and mentored during the final half of the programme to create a fully-formed business plan and coached to present their ideas to a professional standard.

This final presentation day is usually held off-site in the offices of one of our local partners. This provides students an opportunity to experience a professional environment, to meet the employees and to learn about the job functions and potential career paths within that organisation.

I loved presenting our business ideas and showing what we had created in those last few weeks.
Having to work as a team and brainstorm ideas got our minds working. It helped us to build confidence and learn how to communicate better with each other.
It was fast paced and we had to work hard, and the feedback we received helped us to improve for the future.
We all wish the programme was longer. We want to do it again!

Real Employers.
Real Opportunities.
A standout feature of Project Can Do is how we bring real businesses from the community directly into the classroom - turning activity-based learning into real-world relevance.

We collaborate with inspiring local individuals and organisations with strong community footprints to help shape, support and enrich each regional programme.

These partners don’t just drop in - they co-create the experience. From sharing inspirational stories and providing industry insights, to setting real-life challenges from their own organisations.

Their input ensures our programme reflects up-to-date, place-based skills that can provide meaningful pathways beyond school.

What schools need to know
Project Can Do is easy to run and high impact. All we need from your school is:
A class of 20 - 30 students from Years 7 to 10

One hour per week for 8 weeks

A classroom with a Smart Board or TV

A staff member to be present (no prep or delivery needed)
We provide everything: planning, materials, delivery, and DBS-checked facilitators.

Need help identifying the right students? We’ll support you and can even deliver an assembly to help generate interest.
We aim to work with students who will benefit most from extra encouragement - particularly those in need of a confidence boost.
I had a conversation with my son last night. We were talking about Project Can Do and he said it had 'changed his life'.

Since engaging with this programme he's like a changed person at home. I've never seen him so motivated to get the most out of every day.
He's now really focused on his project and his studies. I'd like to thank you for giving him this opportunity. It has, without a doubt, been inspirational for him.
Many thanks from a very grateful parent.
